Lycia Rodrigues (she/her) has more than 15 years of experience in the combined fields of Counselling, Psychology and Gerontology. Her experience as an immigrant and a mother have left her with a deep and lasting empathic longing to support others who feel invisible and isolated. She works with women and mothers experiencing burnout, depression, anxiety, reproductive challenges, grief, loss and parenting difficulties. She also supports family caregivers who often feel shaken or unsettled throughout the turbulent waves of the caregiving journey including end-of-life care.
She supports clients in discovering simple, effective methods for staying tethered to their deep authentic self while managing external demands that sometimes pull us away from who we are at our core.
The foundation of her therapeutic approach includes elements of Narrative Therapy, Parts Work (Gestalt), Mindfulness and Somatic approaches. Her work supports women in their attempt to recover from trauma, anxiety, shame and guilt while also acknowledging that transformation itself requires sufficient compassionate support and appropriate companionship.
